PIcture this: Columbus, Ohio. September of 2002. A festival. The Gay and Lesbian Theatre Fringe Festival. The sole representatives of the City of Chicago being our founding members and a production of John C. Russell's Stupid Kids. Out of more than one hundred performances, Stupid Kids was chosen to receive the the "Audience Favorite Ensemble Performance Award" and the "Stonewall Award for Best Ensemble Performance".
Emboldened by these accolades and a desire to produce theatre that truly represents our generational voice, the founding members started the process of incorporating the company. Out of these efforts, Theatre Entropy was born.
